Well, how slack have I BEEN! Thought I better put a post in on my last day...
Comment I made on Lou's blog:
"I totally forgot about no junk food Mondays but guess what, I DID IT ANYWAY! Must be a change in thinking... wait this is going in my blog that I have been so slack in keeping up to date..."
Yeah so I kept junk-free Monday without even knowing it! Surely that is a sign of healthier thinking! Plus I have started my new fitness regime now. I went to that infamous Tummy, hips and thighs class the other night, I haven't been able to work properly for 2 days now my legs are so sore!! But that's gotta mean it is working, right? :S
So from next week onwards, Mondays I will be doing THT's with my cousin at the gym for 45 min, Tuesdays between my T&A class and my Small Business class I will be doing a half an hour dance/gym lesson, then on Wednesdays I am now free from dance so I will have to think of something here, and then Thursdays at 5:30 I'll be doing another dance/gym session and then Friday's will be salsa dance lessons for an hour. Also hoping to fit dog walking in on a Saturday morning too! Too ambitious? Naaahhhh! I just have to do it for 6 weeks in a row, isn't that how long you said Lou to create a habit?
So wish me luck! Now I'll start preparing myself for after work celebratory drinks! Woo!!

Day 17 - Sunday
Brekky: Like a broken record... 2 x toasts, no WAIT!!! I HAD coco pops, not much better but at least it wasn't BREAD!
Lunch: Watermelon, LOTS! And a cup of soup, one of the low calorie ones.
Tea: Pizza hut... it was horrible, all of it. I love pizza but this was horrible. New owners, terrible food, just horrible. Coke was flat and warm, pizzas were all the same and tasted HORRIBLE! Salad looked like it had been sitting in there for days. Never going back... ick.
Confessions: None, that's all I ate! Drank water for the rest of the day!
I'm watching American Idol auditions on austar at the moment and some of these people really make my ears hurt!
Well, back onto the topic of choice... I read this really good tip today, and though I don't have a daughter I think I could adapt the concept to myself!
"My New Year's resolution was the same every year - lose weight and improve my health and fitness... I was determined that 2009 would be different so came up with a new fitness regime which suits my lifestyle and budget down to the ground. Instead of paying $743 for an annual gym membership, now every day my daughter and I do something different:
Monday- Bike Riding - We go and ride our bikes on the local bike track... This allows me to get a great cardio workout while teaching her balance, improving her riding confidence.
Tuesday- Obstacle Course - I bet you've never looked at the local park in this light but that's exactly what it is! Chasing kids, climbing ladders... is an all over bodyworkout...
Wednesday- Aqua Aerobics - I was paying $14 for one Aqua Aerobics session a week ($728 a year) but we've just discovered our local continental pools which are not only heated all year round but are FREE. My daughter and I play tag in the shallow end... Not only is this burning calories but it has improved my daughter's swimming.
Thursday- Running - We bought a giant bubble blower for $5.00 at the school fete! Armed with this and a bottle of cheap detergent we head down to the park and take it inturns to blow bubbles while the other person chases them. You would be surprised how much this gets the heart rate up - I never fail to work up a sweat!
Friday- Workout Video - We got a stack of old workout videos from the op shop for around $10. We've got yoga, aerobics, light weights and even some old music videos. Every weekmy daughter chooses one and we do it together in the lounge room. The varietykeeps her interested and they also come in handy in the wet weather (the music videos are especially fun as it gives you an opportunity to get dressedup like rock stars and dance up a storm)!"
What a good bunch of ideas! They obviously work for her, but I'm not sure I could chase bubbles around a park on my own, I may look slightly crazy... but now I have made a challenge to myself, to think up something like that that suits me for each of the week days!
Oh, and Loubie, what do you think about "Junk Free Mondays"?

Day 16 - Saturday
Brekky: Take a guess? 2 x toasts and a milo
Lunch: Ham, cheese and tomato toasty and half a chocolate milkshake. (I'm a bit addicted to them at the moment, I need to switch them right out with water I think.)
Tea: Homemade spaghetti YUM YUM YUM!
Confessions: Another of those delicious mousses mum left in the fridge, why can't she just EAT them already! SHEESH! Coronas at Loubies... and toast when I got home! What a day...
Exercise: None, unless you count shopping? I bought some gorgeous new lamps, cost me way too much, money I DEFINITELY can't afford when I am trying to save up for my car...

Day 15
Stretching for memories now...
Brekky: 2 x toast ( I HAVE to break this habit!)
Lunch: Chicken, avocado and cheese sandwich from the cafe, and a iced coffee (which was not a good idea on a hot day.
Tea: Homemade pizzas again as we were running late and I had a heap of leftovers from the dinner the night before!
Confessions: A little packet of chocolate mousse mum had in the fridge.
Exercise: Running around after people all ddaayyy!

Day 14
Well I have discovered that not having internet means that my blog gets ignored for a while... but hey, at least I catch it up! I have now restored internet so here we go...
Today -
Brekky: 2 x toast an milo (trying to stay off coffee because it is giving me headaches..)
Lunch: Naughty, naughty, naughty... so we went out for lunch, and I had Fish and Chips, the really bad kind with all the batter... ahhh
Tea: Homemade pizzas! They were pita bread bases with lots of vegetables, little amount of meat and wayyy too much cheese...
Confessions: None! It was way too hot to feel like eating today!
Exercise: Well it was supposed to be dance tonight but since the dance studio is upstairs in a non-vented room it was about 50 degrees in there so it was cancelled! So the only exercise I got was sweating in the sauna that was my life for the day!
I got my hair cut today. Bit scary at first. I was NOT sure about the fringe, a bit blunt for my tastes, so I just don't know, but I am slowly getting used to it. I think...
